Charles Gramlich

Charles Gramlich is a member of REHupa, the Robert E. Howard United Press Association, and is an Assistant Editor of The Dark Man, the Journal of Robert E. Howard Studies. He teaches psychology at Xavier University of Louisiana and is  married to artist and photographer, Lana Gramlich.

Dr. Gramlich is the author of several novels and numerous short stories. His first novel in paperback form was Cold in the Light. His most recent novels in paperback, Swords of Talera, Wings Over Talera and Witch of Talera, are Sword & Planet works in the tradition of Edgar Rice Burroughs’s John Carter of Mars series.

Charles P. Zaglanis

Charles P. Zaglanis began his career in genre fiction by contributing to RPG books for Chaosium’s Call of Cthulhu before moving on to short fiction in various anthologies. Along the way he became a slush reader for Dark Wisdom magazine, eventually earning his way to the Assistant Editor position. Through Machiavellian machinations and pure dumb luck, Chuck has now garnered the position of Acquisitions Editor for the magazine’s parent company, Elder Signs Press, Inc. Chris Welch

Chris Welch is originally from Akron, Ohio and currently lives in southern Wisconsin, where he works as a freelance reporter for a local newspaper and news radio station. He also teaches English part time at Madison College. His poetry, fiction, and non-fiction have appeared in various small press and professional publications. His most recent fiction can be found in the anthologies Dark Wisdom: The Best of Dark Fiction, Catopolis, and both volumes of The HWA Presents Blood Lite (the second volume will be released in October 2010.)

David J. West

David J. West was born in Salt Lake City, Utah but has lived throughout the United States and briefly in Mexico. He has been writing mythos tainted stories since he learned to read and is an avid collector of books and swords. He enjoys traveling, and visiting the many places he writes about. He currently lives in Utah with his wife and three children, each with more unusual names than his own. His first novel, Heroes of the Fallen was published in the spring of 2010.

David Steffen

David hails from Minnesota in a house where the dogs outnumber the people.  His short fiction is scheduled to appear in Bull Spec and is currently available in Brain Harvest and Pseudopod, and two anthologies by Northern FrightsShadows of the Emerald City and War of the Worlds:  Frontlines.  He’s the co-editor of Diabolical Plots, home of interviews, reviews, and editorials of all topics related to speculative fiction.  He’s also a staff member of Flash Fiction Online.

Kate Jonez is a Los Angles based writer who specializes in horror and dark fantasy.

Lee Clark Zumpe

Lee Clark Zumpe, a proofreader and entertainment columnist for Tampa Bay Newspapers, earned a bachelor’s degree in English at the University of South Florida. He lives a few miles from the Gulf of Mexico with his wife and daughter.

Lee’s inclination toward horror manifested itself early in his childhood when he began flipping through the pages of Forrest J. Ackerman’s Famous Monsters of Filmland and reading Gold Key Comic classics like Boris Karloff Tales of Mystery and Grimm’s Ghost Stories. His short stories and poetry have appeared in a variety of publications such as Weird Tales, Space and Time and Dark Wisdom and in the anthologies Horrors Beyond, Corpse Blossoms, and Cthulhu Unbound, Vol. 1.

Lois Gresh

Stephen Mark Rainey

Theresa Lucas

Theresa Lucas is best know as SQT over at Fantasy & SciFi Lovin’ News & Reviews. Previous jobs at a small town newspaper and in Hollywood on one of the earliest reality-television shows (to her lasting chagrin) laid the foundation to a lifelong love of writing about pop culture. Growing up on fantasy fiction and Star Trek steered her toward writing about those genres and she’s been writing reviews and commentary for her blog on related topics for the last three years.

William Jones

William Jones has received Bram Stoker Award nominations, International Horror Guild Award and Origins Award nominations for his works. He is the editor of several anthologies, including The Anthology of Dark Wisdom: The Best of Dark Fiction, Frontier Cthulhu: Ancient Horrors in the New World, High Seas Cthulhu, and the Horrors Beyond Series. His book, The Strange Cases of Rudolph Pearson was selected by Editor Ellen Datlow as a “seminal” work for readers of Lovecraftian horror. He has also written a number of role-playing game supplements, and his writings have been translated into several languages. His most recent novel is Pallid Light: The Waking Dead.
