October–Paranormal Fiction Month

“When I was growing up,” he said, “my gran would teach the young ones a little rhyme: ‘From ghoulies and ghosties to long-legged beasties, and things that go bump in the night…'”

“May the good Lord deliver us,” said Tressler, his voice edged with impatience. “It’s a prayer. You don’t have it quite right.”

“That may be the version you knew, but that’s not how my gran closed it.”

“What were her lines?”

“‘They’ll feed on your fear and bathe in your tears, but eat you, if you rise in the night.'”

October is here.

Is there a month which is a better fit for Elder Signs Press and its web of dark fiction? We’ll be offering more interviews with authors and other personalities in the days to come, and hopefully surprises heading into Halloween week, which for some of us means a trip to the World Fantasy Convention. We’ll be talking about ghosts, possession and exorcism, demonology, and whatever else seems to fit into this month’s theme—-Paranormal Activity.

Feel free to drop me a line for suggestions of things you’d like us to explore.
